Cable management that actually lasts

A tidy desk isn't a one-time project. Here's a system that stays clean as your setup changes.

Everyone tidies their cables once. The trick is a system that survives the next new device. Here's the approach that holds up.

Get power off the floor

Mount a power strip to the underside or back leg of your desk. Now every device plugs in up top, and only one cord runs to the wall.

Give cables a path

A under-desk cable tray collects the slack and hides power bricks. Route everything into the tray, then use a sleeve for the single bundle that drops to the floor.

Leave room to change

Use reusable hook-and-loop ties, not zip ties, so you can add or remove a device in seconds. Label anything you unplug regularly. That's it — a desk that stays clean without a weekend project.
